3 SIMPLE TIPS FOR ACHIEVING BEAUTIFUL SKIN

HYDRATION IS KEY

You’ve heard this before and you’ll hear it again, but that’s because it’s true! Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your body and skin. Not only does it help flush out toxins, regulate body temperature, aid the digestive system and maintain blood pressure, but it also boosts skin health, leading to a more beautiful complexion. If you find yourself having trouble remembering to hydrate, we recommend setting an alarm or downloading an app that sends you reminders throughout the day.

WASH. YOUR. FACE.

You’ve probably heard that one night of sleeping in your makeup ages you 7 days. While dermatologists don’t unanimously agree on this, they ALL agree that sleeping in makeup is never a good idea. Beyond getting makeup on sheets, clogging pores and irritating the skin, some doctors believe that sleeping in your makeup can cause premature aging. Luckily, this is a pretty easy thing to avoid, especially with good skincare products on hand. We love our Micellar Water Lash Wash because it easily and effectively removes makeup, dirt and oil while hydrating the skin, creating a clean foundation for the rest of your skincare routine. Best of all, it can be used with a cotton pad and because it’s a no-rinse formula, it doesn’t need to be washed off!

COMMIT TO 7-8 HOURS

WE KNOW, we know – you’ve heard it before; but when you break it down, sleep may be the single most important thing you can do for your body, skin and mental well-being. Lack of sleep weakens your immune system, leads to cognition issues, increases risk of weight gain and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. We all lead busy lives and a great night of sleep isn’t always guaranteed, but making sleep a priority will help you feel better, stay healthier and look more beautiful.

If you have trouble falling asleep, try the following:

  • Natural remedies like Chamomile tea or Melatonin supplements
  • Eating lighter meals towards the end of the day
  • Taking a long, hot shower before bed
  • Meditating
  • Limiting screen time before bed
